Default Central Oregonian checking in

I just purchased a Honda VTX 1300s last week and will be picking it up from the dealer next week after they install some accessories (studded saddlebags, passenger backrest, Memphis windscreen). She's my black beauty and am looking forward to putting some miles on her.

So are there many folks around here from the Northwest? Are there any cruiser clubs I should get familiar with? I've been searching online and the only one I've found so far is based up in the Puget Sound area with rider members from as far south as Portland.

Well, that's the short and sweet of it.

Welcome BC...
We live in Hillsboro...and my husband rides the VTX1300s and loves it....(except for the clayton mod we tried...dont just drill out your baffles unless you want to sound like a tin can).
We dont ride with groups so wouldnt know... but there are many around us here....and last time we rode to Bend we saw TONS of riders... must be something near you? Just stop at a few cycle shops and ask....
Enjoy your bike...

Welcome - I'm in Eugene - done a few rides over your neck of the woods - some great riding during the summer along the McKenzie River and Cascade Lakes highway.
I too (like Annie) prefer to ride solo or with one or two other people.

I spend more time in Bend over the winter though - up at Mt Bachelor.

See you around!

We missed it. When? Just now. When will then be now? Soon.
