Hey all, Been riding 30 Plus years. A few cross country trips and numerous intra country trips throughout the west. Lived in Sa Diego 15 years, LA 3 years, Las Vegas 15 years, Got out of the Rat race and moved to motorcycle friendly South Carolina........Back to the beach with easy parking but (without the traffic, taxes and grooved freeways). First bike was a GL1000 after that a GPZ550,Yamaha XS750 Special, Honda CB900, Harley FXRC and Shadow VT1100s for the past 15 years,,,,,,,,now a Yamaha V Star 1300 as of a week ago. I wear a helmet sometimes, I like loud pipes but with the air kit and eFI module. I don;t believe they save lives nor do I like them obnoxious. Its about TONE not decibels. I do not wear ATGATT. I do not dress for the crash I dress for the destination. I believe MOST riders never have an injurous get off in their entire lives. crashes are not badges of honor. I believe awareness is far more important than skills and riders do not ever HAVE the right of way, It can only be yielded by another. I don't blame cagers becasue they don't see me. I take full responsibility for my own safety. So far so good. |
