| Hey everyone how's it going? I'm new to the site (no bike yet) but I'm taking the safety/intro class next week to get my motorcycle license. I have a few questions though. I'm a big guy, 6'3" 275lbs. I love the looks of the Yamaha V-Star Classic 650 but I am wondering if that will be enough bike for my size. I am not planning on going balls to the walls fast or anything. I just want a nice size cruiser for riding on the weekends and stuff. It seems to have the full size frame with the 650cc motor, which I think I would fit in just fine. Does anyone have any info on this topic for me? Thanks -Kyle |

| Wow great info thank you. It seems as though the 650 has the same frame as the 1100. This is good because I fit great on the 1100. I do not have anything to compare it too as far as power goes so hopefully I will like the ones I am planning on looking at. Thanks for the info SNAFU

| I'm glad I could help. Sit on as many different bikes as you can. From what I've read the C50 is a good bike for taller people and would suit the style of bike your looking at. Good luck in your search and have fun at your MSF course.

| Dude. I would serious get the 1100 V-star. That was my first street bike. I loved it. Great handling and power when you needed it. I passed my motorcycle driving test with that bike. Piece of cake. The shaft drive allows a very smooth throttle response. The 650 is just to small for you. I am 100 .lbs less weight than you and the 650 is to small for me.

| Welcome: I'm 6'2" , 290 and considered the 650 V-Star, Shadow, and the C50. The C50 just fit me better, so I agree with SNAFU sit on as many as you can and then make a choice.
