Hello everyone. I guess I'm the new guy on the block. I'm active duty military currently stationed in Heidelberg Germany. I've been in now for 16 years so four more and I can call it quits. I've been turning wrenches on cars for quiet some time now. My dad started me and I've just stuck with it. i have a Chevy Camaro and a Mustang GT(Foxbody) that I play around with. So I decide to jump on a bike and see what it was like. I'm new to this so I bought a 88 Suzuki 1100 from this guy. I know it's a big bike, but the price was too good to let go. So I will have a lot of questions. I have one already actually. Today I was trying to start the bike since it's been in storage for a little while and i had the seat off. I noticed smoke coming from the positive terminal. i touched the pos cable and it was hot. You could also see that the insulation was starting to melt. What can cause that? Like I said, I'm brand new to bikes. |
