| Hello everyone! My name's Mark, I'm from western PA. Brighton Township, Beaver County to be exact. I've been riding for about four years now and can't get enough! Winter just kills me. I still ride, when the weather cooperates, but long for the sunny, warm days. I started with a 1979 Yamaha 650 Special I picked up for $220. It had sat for a couple of years, but after going over the whole electrical system, cleaning out the tank, and some paint and chrome polish, it looked and ran pretty good. But I soon wanted something newer and more powerful. I stumbled upon a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 550 while getting parts for the Yam. It was Black, practically like new, and the in-line 4 ran like a raped-ape. But after about a year I again felt the need for newer and bigger. So I went to my local cycle salvage yard, and among their line-up of rebuildables, I found the exact bike I was looking for. Previously I had gone around to the dealers and sat on the new models to try and find a bike that fit me perfectly, for when I had the funds to buy of course. I had decided on the C50. Someone told me that before Suzuki renamed their cruiser line, the C50 was called the Volusia, and that's what I found at Cycle Recyclers. I took her home for $2900. After replacing the air cleaner cover, bars, right side mirror mount, headlight and turn signal brackets, headlight bezel, bending the brake pedal back, having two dents pulled in the fuel tank, and fixing the crack in the front fender, I repainted her and got her back on the road. I've been in love ever since. I've done a few mods to her and plan to do many more in the future. Some of which I found on this forum. I've attatched some pics of her, and my avatar shows another angle. I hope you all like my baby, and I look forward to making new friends and meeting you on the road. Salutations! Mark
