Default Greetings and Salutations

Hello all,
I am writing to introduce myself.

Although I joined this forum a couple of months ago, this is my first post.

I bought a bike (1982 Yamaha XJ 750 Maxim) right after Thanksgiving, and it's definitely a work-on-it bike.

It's been a long time since I've owned a bike. My last one was a Yamaha 650 Maxim, I think an '83 or something like that.
That was about ten years or so ago.
That one ended when I hit a deer one foggy December night in Colorado.

No worries, both myself and the deer walked away (in fact, I think he ran away), but the bike died.

Anyway, if you see my profile, that's a bit about me.

Just saying hi for now.

More later for sure.
I'm a novice when it comes to working on a bike, so I'll likely be asking a bunch of questions.

Catch ya later.

Bill B

Well glad you made it here. This is a great site full of information and not a lot of BS. Stroll around and get to meet some of the folks...I'm sure there are riders from your area here.

See you around.

If I recall, the maxim will give you enough power to get there.
