Hi I was in a motorcycle accident in 2004 of no fault of my own, there is no medical insurance on motorcycles in Colorado, luckily I had my personal medical insurance through work which I pay for monthly, so I had use my personal medical insurance for injuries I sustained in the accident, the person who hit me only had 25.000.00 dollar policy limit which his insurance company has offered, i accepted there offer because that is all the money i could get but a friend of mine told me about subrogation which means my insurance company could ask for the money they spent on my injuries which is 20.000.00 to 30.000.00 dollars, which would mean I would get nothing is this true? this seems so unfair to me don't i get any money for all the pain and suffering I had to endure? I was told not to say anything about the settlement to my insurance because they probably would not find out, but is that taking a big risk? has anybody else out there been through this and what can I expect? help
