Hey! I just bought a new 2008 Suzuki Boulevard C50 on Friday. Traded in my old 2000 Yamaha Virago 250cc for it and some cold hard cash.

I'm loving the new bike so far. All I want to do is ride. Put on a hundred miles the first day and loved every minute of it.

However, a tragedy happened. I have been babying this bike since I got it, but today after I got done with work, I decided to go for a ride. I was traveling on some back roads when I turned off onto a road I had never been down before. I thought it looked like a nice road. Well, after about a mile, once I got over this small hill, all of a sudden the road turned into gravel. I laid the bike down. The damage was a scrapped up knee, some harsh scratches in the front fender, a few in the gas tank, and the side mirror. Could have been worse, but I feel really frustrated and disappointed right now. Brand new bike only four days old and already damaged....

Hi to MKARNAGE and Plan B.

Plan B: Sorry to hear about your bike. You are ok and that is the most important thing.

to M-J! Sorry to hear about your bike. At least your okay. Bike parts can be replaced. I've ridden down a road that suddenly turned into gravel, not fun. I was surprised I didn't lay it down then. All I remember was thinking Do not lock the brakes, squeeze evenly, squeeze evenly.

Thanks for the welcome. I have an 07 strat. I want to get some hiway bars and mount foot pegs on them. I would like some reccomendations for bars that work well with a footpeg set up.

Default Gotta start somewhere:

Usually not a joiner, group, so bear with me. Just joined this Journal, looked first for reviews on Garmin Zumo 550 GPS. Found a few positive remarks, thanks.
Ride Safe, no, my english teacher from grammar school in NOLA would have corrected me: "safely ride, my son!"

Default Welcome newbies

Seems like the boulevard is really popular. I just bought the back rest from a forum member.
This place rocks.

hello everyone!

i am a motorcycle virgin...i have always admired my dad's triumph, but never got too interested because i could never afford a bike of my own. so, the time is now: i am living in the south of china and bikes are super affordable and i feel ready. i am looking at chinese models between 100-150cc's. does anyone have any info they'd like to share about chinese bikes?

thanks,

Default Hello All - I have a DR200 question

This is my first post so I first want to say hello. I've had several bikes over the years both dirt and street and loved them all. started back in the days when bull taco and OSSA were the bikes to have, still have a 82 RM500. I just purchased a 2000 DR200 for a good price but it lacks a kick starter. The dealer tells me that they don't have the parts to install one. any info would be great.

Thanks

Ken
