Hey, I finally found the welcome thread!
OK, kiddies, ya got a 47 year old fuzzy biker here.Been ridin' on the road longer than most of ya have been alive.
Started out on Harleys, but, as mechanic fer the club, I noticed what I wasn't workin' on.Went out and bought me a pound of rice and been on rice fer the last 25 years.
Rode my share of Suzukis, had some nice ones.On an '04 VTX Retro now.
Joined this group 'cause I bought my wife an '04 650 Savage. Weird lil thing (the wife is too, but that's another story.) but it does keep up with the ridin' we do around here. Unfortunately, Suzuki just ain't what it used to be and the manufacturer just ain't no help. In fact, the company has really soured my taste fer Suzuki.
But, the woman loves her machine, so I'm kinda hopin' to find some handy info around here. She's devoted to her lil pumper and I can appreciate that.
Perusin' the threads, I noticed not too many tramps in here.Guess I'll be among the few.
Later,y'all.

LOL!

Welcome! I've been enjoying the '4' in front of my age for about 2 months now ... so I'm only about 7 years behind you.

And with the weird wife ... I can relate (thank goodness she's my EX-wife now).

to the forum.

There are few old F'ers on the forum! We just have avoided our past on line I suppose. Tramps? Yep we're here too! And a few other names as well.

I started on Ducatis before most people in the states knew what they were, Went to Harley for a while, then the Brit bikes, and on to the Japanese bikes. Been hooked on Suzukis for years now. Altough, if I were to go the cruiser route again, a Road Warrior would be hard to pass up that is once you fit a new exhaust system. Most likely the next ride will be a Busa though.

Suzuki does have its issues, but I've always had good luck with them. My current ride runs and handles sweet. It only disappointsments me when I don't ride it for a few days, which is very rare. She gets hard to start, guess she just isn't used to sitting parked for long.

Any how, welcome.

Hey all, this is Hyper. I've been riding for about 16 years now. I'm on my third Gixxer. '93 750, '96 750 which had 52,402 miles on it when I crashed it. That same after noon it gave a 996 all it could handle and still GPS'd 163mph. Now I'm on an '04 big bore. This forum is out of control. There are so many threads. My head is going to explode. I have enough trouble managing a little day care riding operation once a week here in central MO. Let alone try to navigate my way through all of this. So bear with me until I can figure out how to operate everything.

Wide open till you see God, then BRAKE!

There's a nice little spot about 2 miles long where we all go to drag race, and make some high speed runs. This was last fall when my buddy with his 996 finally decided to take the challange laid out by the old school 52,000 mile Gixxer. We ran them twice with the out come within inches. The second time we stayed into for a mile or so and there was still no difference. I was rather proud of my old dog. I got caught in a thunder storm with a slick on the way home.

The next thing I know is that I was double up, goin 60mph backwards, facing traffic on the HWY. The rear hooked and away we went!

Hello All
I guess I am the new(est) kid on the block.I found this forum while looking for some information on LC1500s. I have been riding since 1957, Did a little dirttrack racing in the 60s, owned and tuned my son's race bikes during the 80s & 90s ( Jawas, Weslakes & GM) In the 90s I got into restoring vintage bikes and long distance endurance riding. I own a small shop selling parts & accessories, doing service and restorations. Currently I own about 10 bikes. 2 Triumphs, 2 Suzuki GT750s (personal favorites), 2 Yamahas, one eachKawasaki Voyager, Cushman Eagle, Weslake Speedway bike and a Harley Sprint plus assorted parts bikes.
