Default It's good to be here.

42 year old newbie here, an hour north of Dallas, Texas. I'm taking the MSF course next week and look to buy my first bike in January. I'd like to get an S50, but most people say to go used on the first one so it will probably be a 2002 Intruder VS 800.

I'm 6' 2" and 235 pounds, possibly too big for the S40 (or used Savage) and I don't think I'm ready for an S83 (or used Intruder 1400).

It's great having a site dedicated just to Suzukis. I've had two Suzuki vehicles and they've been fantastic - NEVER had a mechanical problem. I like the look of the Intruders and the "S" style Boulevards. I'm betting they have the same quality as the Suzuki cars.

Can't wait to get started.

Jay

Hey everyone, another noob here. I've been lurking on the board the past couple of weeks for information. This is a relatively small, but knowledgeable community.

I've never owned a bike, but I do have about 500 miles under my belt on several different bikes. (I know, 500 miles is nothing)

Hopefully in the next few months I'll become the proud owner of a red 05 Katana 600. Then I'll need some people to ride with in the Orlando area.

Another one from Orlando ... gee, this board is starting to "go South' pretty quickly! We need some more Canadians to even things out ... anyone from Alaska out there?

Hey guys, Im a new member. Looking for advice on the bike I want. I do not have much riding expeience, but I am trying to build a kawasaki kx 250 dirt bike to get some riding down before I try to get a street bike. Iv'e got my heart set on the gsxr 600. Iv'e read just about every spec there is and trust suzuki. I was looking into the 1000 but talked myself out of it and decided the 600 would be the best bet for now. Any advice would help, thanks.

Welcome. Stick with the 600. There's many threads in here about what to start off with. Good luck!
