DeRiggi. Enjoy the forum and the M50 secret hideaway. You have an awesome bike and yes I'm biased.
You got the best colour as well BTW.

Default Greetings from New York

I am brand new to this forum, and wanted to just stop in and say hello.

I recently bought my first new Road Bike, after riding Dirt Bikes off and on over the years.

I am 52 years old and was widowed just over a year ago, so I guess this bike is a form of therapy, and I can tell you that it is working. I have a 34 year old son who is married, and lives about 10 minutes away, and I have an 18 year old son living at home with me, and going to collage.

My new bike is a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard M50. I stopped into the dealership looking for used bikes and he had this 2006 left over, and made me a deal that I could not turn down.

I have had it for 3 weeks and have put on 200 miles, so it is just now beginning to loosen up. I am being good during the brake-in period however.

I travel about 20 miles one way to work on 2 lane highways and country roads, so this is a great ride.

Well, I have to go now but wanted to introduce myself.

Talk at ya later.

Thought that I would take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Marilu and I have been riding for amost 21 years. A lot has changed since I got my first bike which was a HOnda Rebel. It was great for someone with my short inseam and I had a lot of fun learning on it. Right now I own a Kawasaki Super Sherpa. I will be in the market in the next year or so for a bike that I can do more street riding on. The Sherpa is a lot of fun on dirt roads, trails and some street riding but for any distance and speed, it's not so comfortable. I was looking at the Honda 599. The upright seating position and lower seat hieght is what drew me to this bike. I have lots of research to do. Anyone out there have the HOnda 599.

Glad to have found this site

Marilu

Default Another Newbie

Hello All, I just picked up a 2007 C50T Saturday morning, after sitting on the sidelines for over 25 years, man I had a ball. I was a little shaky at first but with practice and taking my time things got a better. Lots of valuable information from researching info on this site helped me in my bike search.

Thanks to you all.

Default Hello from Chicago-land

I'm the proud owner of a 2007 Suzuki C50. It's my 4th bike, but there was a 22 year gap between bikes #3 and #4. I took the MSF course to dust off the rust (and to get my Class M license again) and I'm buying into the idea of full riding gear (not the t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes I wore in the old days). Like all cruiser riders, I'm bitten by the customizing bug and my 1st shipment of upgrades is due to arrive this weekend.

With a little over 200 miles so far, I'm loving this bike and I'm loving being on two wheels again. I'm still a bit nervous in traffic and at intersections, but I'm sort of hoping I stay that way!

Default Hello!

Hello all.
I guess its my turn to introduce myself.
I am 26 and an electronic engineer. I moved to Japan about 10 months ago for work. I rode dirt bikes for about 10 years when i was younger, but ive been only riding a scooter for the last 5.
I am going through riding lessons now and will get my lisence in about a month and a half.
I am looking at a 2005 GSR400. I really like the looks of it, but thats all i really know about the bike. does anyone have any experience with this bike? I am wondering about the inline 4? I dont have any experience riding such a heavy machine.

We have a few riders from Japan here. That's a nice looking bike that you're planning to get.

Hi everybody! I just got a Suzuki GS700 E (1985) that's been sitting for a couple of years (so have I) and though I haven't even gotten it started yet I'm having a blast working on it. Can't wait to get it out on the road. Haven't ridden for a few years and moved since the last (Texas to Indiana) so I just got a shiney new license and helmet.
Anyway, this looks like a great forum and I'm happy to be here!
