Anybody who's spent any time here knows that we do not endorse newbies getting in over their heads with their first bike, unfortunately we have answered the question hundreds if not thousands of times.

As for labeling somebody a troll, well that was maybe a little premature after only two posts but in 99.9% of cases that's proven to be correct.

Here in short is the answer to your friends question.

GSX-R 600, 115hp, 350 lbs, hair trigger controls, sensitive hard biting brakes. Will magnify any mistakes a newbie is sure to make, very good bike giving a false sense of confidence when things are going right.

Up comes a unexpected situation along with an adrenaline spike and and/or a brain fart and all hell breaks loose as the bike responds harshly and instantly to any unintentional inputs from the rider who has to take time to think about what to do because he doesn't have the experience and hasn't yet developped the instincts needed to react without debating about what to do.

5 things you didn't know about Ochainn:

1. He's new here.
2. But not new to bikes.
3. He's a Brit.
4. He doesn't have a Gixxer.
5. He may get one eventually.
6. He can't count.

Right, that's the introduction over with, I'm off to read some threads...

I agree that it is premature, while I do understand that alot of the time there are young punks who think they can handle anything. I happen to know this one. I refered him to this, and another forum where he could get honest answers to his questions.

Now I love this answer...short, informative, and right to the point.

Tim, you haven't been around here long enough to understand the instant TROLL label.
You are right.....I haven't been on this board very long, but I'm not new to these kinds of boards. I have never really have understood instant labeling. I have always tried to give someone time to prove themselves one way or the other to me before I form an opinion about them.

However, I think I've made the point I was trying to get across. I think it's now time for me to move on to another subject and let this one go. It is now time for thehulkxx to demonstrate who he really is to you guys, if he chooses to post again. I've defended him enough.

As for this forum...I will continue to recommend it to others...like I mentioned before I have alot of respect for you guys here Everyone has always been freindly towards me and treated me with respect. Thank you for the respect you've given me.

While I'm not part of this dispute, Just wanted to commend uncle Bob for his careful word choice and effectively conveying his point while attacking the problem and not the person. I'm not one to blow smoke either, but uncle Bob's stocks just went up in my book

Oh, I have lots to say; whether it's worth saying is an exercise for the reader. For instance - why do you othersideofthepondians get to have a "Kat" when I have to take a deep breath and explain to people I ride a "GSX600F"? Then I have to explain it's not a Gixxer, more like a Gixxuff.

I've usually lost interest in the conversation by then.

Other points of interest - I've been riding for around 13 years now, all on various sized Viragos until I tried riding with my feet behind me and was hooked. Inline four 600 vs thumpy old V2 1100? No contest.

tnichols and thehulkxx, I apologise for jumping the gun. I simply read that thehulkxx had been asking the same question on other forums (as stated in Night_Wolf's post and not getting the advice he wanted. I was posting some fictional sites all tongue in cheek. I thought they were kind of funny.

Thanks,

I would have found them funny if I didn't know thehulkxx was trying to be serious or if he was just being another stupid punk who wants to get a crotch rocket no matter what because he thinks his balls are bigger than his brain.

All the same..I hope I haven't offended you or anyone else by going on the defensive, but if I did let me apologise also. (Are we spelling that right?)

THANKS once again for the respect shown here.

Default Been registered but still very new

I had inherited a TC120 a while back and registered, but never got it running. (any help appreciated) I just recently bought a 2005 Red M50. I love it. I am still getting my bearings on the two wheels thing. Now i actually feel worthy of the group since I have a Suzuki that RUNS! And boy does it ever.

Smile New member signing on!

Hello', I'm pretty excited to become a Suzuki forum member , I've been in "read only" mode for several months... I think around the time that Pinhy got his M50, shortly before I got mine. Finally, I have my spiffy new Sony Vaio and I'm raring to go. I've had my bike almost a year... at the end of March and I've already dumped it once, but got up without a scratch.. on the bike that is... I had a sprained ankle but got back on it and finshed my ride (I think I was trying too hard to keep up with a more expeienced group). I hope to meet riders from all over and elsewhere in the Pacific NW too. thanks.

to the forum Jack. Nice to see you finally got plugged in. Good to hear you healed up OK. Enjoy participating now that you've made your presence known. ride safe.

I'm a little north of PNW, tolerating the liquid sunshine at the moment, hoping for dryer weather.

Default Just bought M50

I just bought my blue 2006 M50 today. I'm so excited. It's my second bike. I upgraded from a 2005 Rebel. I'm a little ticked at the dealership cause they gave me the wrong MOM. They gave me one for an 05 VL800. What's up with that. BTW, I'm in West TN, and I have not seen anybody driving an M50.

I fully agree with you that a Gixxer is not a starter bike. I haven't seen his other post on the other forum, so I can't say anything about that one.

Where's the criticism? Again I will say, if you are going to leave a forum with 6000 members because two people hurt your feelings, forums aren't for you.
