Default Another New guy

Hey everyone, new guy here. I'll try to keep it short. I have been riding for 35 years, and have loved every mile. My wife took the MSF class a few months ago (passed with flying colors) and finally earned her license. When she was done with the class, we purchased a 1981 Suzuki GS560 for her to ride, and occasionally drop. we have logged a few thousand miles since she got her license, and today we went to the motorcycle shop. Long story short, we left with two new bikes. She opted for the light, nimble, and well priced 2006 Boulevard 650, while I decided on the 2005 M50. Since we had no way to get both bikes home, the shop delivered them to my front door an hour after the sale. It rained much of the day, so we haven't been able to ride them very far yet.

My other bike is an XR650L, which I have done more than one 300 mile weekend on this season. I am keeping the bike (best dual sport ever made), but will now make these long fun trips on my new M50.

Just wanted to say hey, looks like an awesome forum, and I can't wait to start rolling up the highway with my new bike.

Greetings! Is there any room in Western Australia for the GSX-R750 to stretch it's legs? I'm guessing yes. Enjoy!

ALL. Seems a bit generic, but new folks are joining all the time and I'm running out of original salutations.

Yeah, hi, I'm Gonzo, and I'm the latest entry into this fine establishment.

I'm the owner of a TS125RR of 1996 vintage, and it's currently in bits and has become a project. It's gonna be going a fair bit quicker than originally intended, mind.

Brackneyc,

Just ta make a long story short. Having my wife read your stuff, Sam and his wifes thread and reading your mention in another about hooking up in Des Moines next year helped send the message home about getting her involved in riding. So there ya have it.

BTW, hope ya got my pm a few days ago mentioning touchin' base next spring or so as the time approaches about hooking up.

Mavman

Default Busa Help

Checked the FAQs on this site and owner's manual - no luck. '04 Busa with F1 light blinking and F1 on clock display. OM states serious Fuel Injection System problem. Any more help?

Hi, I am Paul, a new rider again at 43 after many years away from the sport. I am on my second M50 after my first was totalled out from under me by a careless lady in a cage. Between the two I have over 3000 miles this year and I love being back on two wheels. I glad to have found a forum that specializes in the suzi's and has a section for the M50s.

Welcome to the forums. Sucks what happened to your first M50. Was your second M50 a result of insurance claims or other settlements? Oh yeah, M50s rule!

The first M50 died when I was in stop and go traffic on I-25. Everyone stopped and the lady behind me kept going, in a Ram 1500. All I can say is that is one big grill in the mirror when you hear brakes squealing behind you. She just wasn't paying attention. She had stopped behind me several times, it's not like I was dodging in and out of the lanes. Traffic started going up to 40 or so, then stopped again suddenly. I figure she was still going about 20 when she hit me. The second M50 and some accessories are courtesy of her insurance. Just glad I had that helmet when I landed on the pavement.
