Default new member, new suzuki owner

just bought a '85 gs700e a couple of weeks ago. i have browsed this forum, and haven't noticed anyone else who owns this bike. so far so good. pictures at http://www.netspot.net/gs700e/gs700E%20for%20Sale.htm.

thinking of taking a motorcycle safety course. been riding on and off for past 15 years, mostly 700s and 750s. used to ride a 82 seca 750. My other bike is a non-working 82 Kawasaki 750-H.

Don't know how to work on 'em. Just ride 'em. Looking to learn more about maintenance, safety, tours, etc. in this here forum.

Hey L, welcome to the forums. It's quite rare to see older bikes that are both in perfect working order and well kept. Bonus being a rare bike and all. You can always take the MSF BRC or go to the neighborhood Harley dealer to take the Rider's Edge course (identical to MSF). Bikes are supplied on both courses. Have fun and ride safe!

WOW, lovely lady Twiggy.. very lovely.. oh and the bike is nice too.. Hi guys, I am Tom, been away from biking for a lot of years, kinda like Twiggy, just getting back into it with my step-son. I thought he needed a bike. We found an 1980 Yamaha for him to work on, as I want him to know how to turn wrenches and troubleshoot, which he has turned into a pretty nice bike. I will try and get pictures. I am working on a 1976 RM 250 which has been a challenge.. having to manufacture some of my own parts. But I am enjoying myself.

Well thank you for this forum, it is awsome.. and again twiggy.. WOW..

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I've had other bikes in the past, and I'm really happy that i decided to get the suzuki m50, IMHO every bike shd have a fuel injection, all my past bikes had carbs, and let me tell you, what a big difference the FI makes.,(plus shaft drive and awesome price) This is my first suzuki, and I'm really glad i've found this forum.

Welcome to the forums, Knightenforcer! Excellent choice on the M50. Between my carb-fed Sportster and my EFI-enhanced M50, the M50 is a much smoother ride. Both bikes are fun though.
