| Howdy!!! I am new to the site and to motorcycles also. My name is Denise, I am married and I live in the Dallas, Tx. area. I have a cat and a rabbit, but no kids. I love to do cross stitches and now getting into motorcycles. I think that is about all for me. |

| S'up ya'll? I've been lerking around here for a few days gathering info on my new ride and thought I'd come out of the bushes and say hi. It was a close call between the M50 and 1100 Sabre Shadow. Once I saw the M and how aggressive and sporty she looked I was sucked in fer sure, the fuel injection and drive shaft sealed the deal for me. It handles great. Sometimes I wish it was a little quicker and I don't want to change the exhaust, I really like the stock look and sound. From what I've read here a PC and K&N probably wouldn't make much diff with stock exhaust. True? Yes, no? Anyway, I'm 36, been riding about 25 years dirt and street and love my new ride. Also thinking about some kind of luggage system, saddlebags or sissybar bag??? Decisions, decisions... Btw, if you wave and all I do is nod it's because I'm afraid to take my hands off the controls around all them crazy cagers! |

| Hi everybody. Just thought I would finally introduce myself. I've been lurking about the place for almost a year and figured it's time. I ride a 96 Katana 750 and put about 10,000 miles since I bought it last July. I normally hang out over at Squidbusters and lurk on Katriders a little. I probably won't post much but will throw in my .02 every now and then.

Yeah, I have to post up quick too. If I keep posting at this rate, I wont become a bridal boutique manager before I die.

| Well hello to all. I'm new here. Yes my 93 Gixxer 600 is my first bike, yes I have heard it all... I left Gixxer.com because all they had to do or say was make fun and harrass newbies that bought an R bike for a first bike, instead of welcoming new people to the world of biking. I have owned it 1-2 months now, not sure how long, and am loving every minute of riding it. I bought it from a former co-worker so I know a little about the bike and its upkeep and I figured that a good thing to know as opposed to getting something that will be in the shop for 2 months after owning it one month (my friend). Thats a little about me, hope I like it here better than that other site.

| Well, we aren't too keen on newbies with R bikes here either. Since you already bought it based on some flawed logic that an actual race bike would be a good learning tool !!!!!! Hope you stick around and get as much info as you can so you don't become another statistic. Welcome.

| Flawed logic? I wanted a sport bike, and wasn't going to get a new bike that I WOULD kill myself on. As much fun as the bike is, it just starts to kick in at 6000 rpm, the real power is at 11, and it redlines at 13, so i'm never really into the gas all that much. Yes I know it may not be the perfect bike to learn on, but I like it. It was cheep, I know its in good condition, and isn't going to leave me at the light with the bike flying down the street when I pull back on the throttle. I did put some thought into what bike I should get. Like I said, it may not be perfect, but I like it.
