Just so you know what we look like bikerbabe. What's your name anyways?

This is a picture I took at a bike rally last year of some of the guys here on the Forum.

It's like flattering a peacock; the results are cute the first couple of times, but after awhile, you'll kind of sort of ignore most of it.

Just kidding. It's not that bad but as you might have noticed when another gal comes to this site it's really an event.

So stay for a while and have some fun.
Geeze, guess I started out in the wrong spot, or something. I started out in the “new member pitstop” and got just 2 replys.

I thought I saw somewhere that you don’t like to have the same post in more than one spot, soooo… think of this as a “do-over”.
But, also thanks to Tallannie & Snafu who did give a shout out.

Here goes:
Hi all,
I found this forum while looking for Mean Streak info. I returned to biking in 1999 after being away from it for (too) many years. My first "return to biking" bike was a 1999 Suzuki Savage. I traded that for a new`2004 VS 800 Intruder. Well... I think I'm gettin' that "itch" again.

I sat on a 2008 Mean Streak a few weeks ago and can't stop thinking about it. I love my Intruder, but... I sure wouldn't mind having some modern updates to my ride, like disc brakes on both wheels would be a nice start, etc.

I'm a little concerned that the Mean Streak might be a bit too big for me, I'm a petite 5'4" female. Anyone got any thoughts on that? I should tell you, I am an excellent rider (words from my male riding buds), but the Mean Streak weighs about 200 pounds more than my Intruder.

I'm not too concerned about the actual riding aspects, but more about like maneuvering in gas stations and such.

Anyway, any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sharon

Hi Sharon. Welcome to M-J.

For some reason I didn't notice your other post, but at times I do try to get some work done which sometimes means keeping away from M-J.com.

I can't give you any advice on the Mean Streak but it is interesting you and I have essentially the same bike. You have the last year of the Intruder and I have the first year of the S50. Great bikes IMO, and still being made after 20 years. But I suppose fuel injection would be nice. Hmmm...

Stay tuned however, this has been a popular thread and now it has been bumped up to the top of the "Recent Post" list and all the guys will check in to see what's going on.

Post often and ride safe.

-Tburd

Sharon:

I think you would be fine with the Mean Streak. Here's why.

I personally have a 2003 version. Suz..that's to be wife Suz, normally rides her Gixxer 750. And of course she has nice legs Quality Control She can ride it and she is 5'4" as well. Yes it is heavier; however, it's balanced nice. The weight I think you would get use to. Even if it would fall on you there are ways of raising it.

Welcome to both of the new ladies. I will refrain from leg humping, because I'm hopelessly in love with Kay... j/k

Am I the tough one here, surviving all the humping?

Oh almost forgot.
In order to survive, better get yourself equiped with a katana, sword, rifle or a water pistol, at least.
You forgot the arrows.
