Default From a brand new member in Western MA.

Hello everyone!

I was directed to come visit here and register by a fellow member. I have NEVER ridden a motorcycle, but as a snowmobiler of 25+ years, I recently made the decision to get into a motorcycle for summer recreation and to also save some fuel going to an from my workplace.

Have contacted the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in my area and will sign up for the beginner's classes in January and start in April.

I have kind of gone nuts, and started looking at bikes already. And after visits to 5 dealers INCLUDING my trusty snowmobile dealer, I put a deposit on a new bike. It was tough to make a choice since I have NO riding experience yet, but got a good deal and could not pass it up. The dealer will store it at their warehouse (under a cover which I also purchased while I was signing papers ) until I can finish the deal in the spring AFTER I complete the course and get my license.

The avatar says it all, can you see it? ...

Can't wait to begin a friendship with members on this forum and learn from their experiences too!

With regards,
Gary

Beautiful Bike. Just get out there and ride. Kinda chilly but go have some fun. You'll meet up with another rider on the road...just look at them and say "hello I'm a new rider getting to know everyone." You'll be amazed at the warm welcome you will get.

Gary! Good to see you here!

I'm glad you joined and look forward to seeing your journey and learning experiences in motorcycling.
As I said in the email, you made a good choice with the S50. Dr. Bob is the expert with regards to the S50 and there are other experts here too, like Wildwolf. There are quite a few S50/Intruder owners - I wonder if the mods would give us an Intruder section in the Suzuki sub forum.

We missed it. When? Just now. When will then be now? Soon.
