Smile New Rider

I have wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle ever since I can remember. I finally achieved my goals of learning to ride and buying my first bike this year. I had some issues due to a spinal cord injury from many years ago, but I had some great friends who helped me learn to ride and modified my bike for me (I needed an electric shifter). I also got a lot of great information from reading posts on this forum. For many years I didn't know if I would ever be able to ride since I can't lift my left foot to shift. Forums like this are a great source for people to get information. I wish I had known about it sooner!

It's good to see another S50 rider from Wisconsin. I'm glad you found a way to ride and I think you're going to like the S50.

Thundurburd - maybe I'll see you on the road sometime. I don't live that far away from Waukesha. In fact my mom and sister live in Waukesha. I haven't ventured out that way on my bike since I haven't ridden on the highway yet. Im hoping by Spring I'll be ready to try out the highways. I do love my S50. It is the perfect size and weight for me and it looks good too!

Sue,
Yeh, I like my S50 too.

It's a good fit for me, except for the hard seat. I've put on 5100 miles since May all riding solo, I don't know anyone else who has a motorcycle. Most guys my age have taken up more sensible hobbies.

Today I'm going to hang it up for the season however, I'm taking the bike over for winter storage. Between the cold weather, an upcoming trip out of town, and minor knee surgery next month, I don't see much riding.

But like you said, maybe we will meet on the road next year. Gosh, I'm out there enough.

Ride safe.
