Default Newbie says hello, noob asks a question

Hello everyone,

As a completely inexperienced rider, I'm very happy to have found this forum.
I have already a tale to tell: after a week of happy riding on a suzuki marauder 125 cc (does that even rate as a proper motorcycle?) I had the misfortune of going down on a roundabout today, with my girlfriend on the back. Only a small scratch on the front fender, so not too bad. Trousers are dead though, and I think I'd better buy some flowers for when the mrs gets home tonight.

I must say that I'm surprised at how well (more or less) I manage, considering I have never driven a bike, nor had any lessons. Sure, I did a lot of high speed bycicling in Holland as a youth, so the two-wheel feel is familiar and I believe that helps. Still, a bicycle steers, this marauder seems to want nought but lean. Tricky. But what fun it is!!!! Amazing though that in Europe they allow you to ride a 125 cc motorcycle without lessons. As long as you have a car driver's license, you're ok. Seems pretty dangerous, no?

Anyway, I have a question: the front break pads scratch the disk when not braking. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to adjust the breaks? It just seems to be a little too tight, but I would have thought they would be self-adjusting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

MadCutter.
