| hi, just joining to do some research, and hoping to get some information from suzuki enthusiasts.. I have an offer on a 1986 gsxr1100 with 7000km's, a little unknown at this point about the history of the bike it has been outside for several months, and apparently needs an alternator/stator... plus a lot of cleaning from what I saw this afternoon. current owners have not had it running and in fact have not tried to do anything with it for two years. any ideas on what this is worth, and also the availability of parts in general, ease of working on the motor etc..are they prone to any particular problems or are they a strong bike in general.. it appears it needs a bit of servicing to bring it up to roadworthy status, but am prepared and able to do most mechanical work myself.. If I find out how to post photos here will try and do so.. thanks for any replies.... |

| It seems to be missing some bodywork, and the wiring is in question. If you can't get it nearly free, it's not worth it. You'll have more into it than what you'd pay for one half its age.
