Smile A New C50 owner

Hello

My forum name is squattybody and I just recently became the proud owner of a new 2006 Suzuki C50. It is a Blue/Gray unit and I will be upgrading it with accessories to make it more like the T version. I know I can count on all of you to give me good advise as I progress. My last ride was a 500 Yamaha about 27 years ago. Thanks for having me!

Squatty

Smile Thanks for the welcome

Thank you for the welcome. It's been a few days since I have been here and read your replies. One question that I have been asking on several other forums is about WS's and Sissy Bars & Luggage Racks. I've recieved several recomendations about which products look the best. Here is what I'm considering, a tour pack from Boulevard Suzuki, Deland, FL and then add the luggage rack and a few other things. What I'd like to know, is the OEM stuff that much better than aftermarket? It would appear that I can save some money by going all aftermarket, but would I be satisfied in the long run? I would appreciate any and all opinions. Also I have e-mailed Eric at Supreme for pricing.

Thanks agian

Welcome....you'll find the C50 and awsume ride. I did the same thing as you want to do. Took a new C50 black, 2005 and made it like at "T" with out the studs. I have seen the tour pack just the other day from Boulavard Suzuki but I don't know if it include the saddle bag mounts etc. Their picture even shows the light bar so try to get them to tell you JUST what the kit includes. They have an EBAY store and their rating was not the best but check them out.
I did all mine from Onidia Suzuki. They do have some problems but their prices are very competive BUT customer service could be alot better.
I also got a Mustang seat from them at a very good price. I am 173, 5'11" with a 32 inseam and it fits me percect. The Mustang is the way to go and keeps the lil lady on the back much happier then the stock seat.

I have all Afermarket and I am very happy with my purchases. Some of the better aftermarket companies are Cobra, Kuryakyn, Tourmaster, Leatherlike, Memphis Shades...

What you need to do is go out and buy as much stuff as you can and install it on your bike so it's get so heavy that you can't hold it up. Then you'll be all set. O if there's any extra hole anywhere on the bike you'll have to FAB custom parts, that way you'll be differnt from others.

Welcome Squatty... now I have to go see what the T looks like different from my C50... *sigh*... more money. I still have a few spots that havent been bolted yet...lol. I used cobra bars and Memphis Shades... exceptional quality and I like the look. Here is a pic ( also has Hippo Hands cause it is cold here !)
