Hello All, I retired in March of 2001, decided to get back into riding again winter of 03-04, bought a new Honda Sabre (04). I had previously owned a GS550 from 1978 to '89. I put 13,000 miles on the Honda and then traded for a C90, Sept of this year. The Suzuki is a great bike but I have the same complaint as all other C90 owners; whatever were they thinking to reduce an already small tank to only 3.7 gallons. OK, it's EFI now and I was easily getting 50+ MPG (at 65-75 mph) but in the short season (put it away at the end of October) I found myself paying too close attention to the fuel gauge and wondering where the next gas station could be found. Sort of detracted from the riding experience. I've added a Memphis Fats windshield, Suzuki case guards and just picked up the Suzuki light bar, will install it in the Spring. There's a "fix" for the small tank problem: check out gmanindustries.com They have two auxillary tanks for the C90, 2.0 and 2.5 gallons. They're big bucks and you have to remove the stock exhaust and can't use any aftermarket exhaust "that retains the metal collector box under the frame". I'll wait, maybe Suzuki will offer something to replace the stock tank. Doubtful they will though. C90ROCH, |
