Teknic Freestyle. Same thing as Icon Super Duty, but a bit cheaper.

I did have a problem with them. One of the bindings that hold the lace strap down snapped off after I wore them for about four months (I hit them on a step into my house, not too hard). I took them back to the store where I bought them and they called Teknic and Teknic replaced them N/C. The bindings were even improved over the pair I originally bought. Great service.

Sorta depends. Varies between my comfortable NITRO riding boots (which feel like I'm walking on carpet bare-footed ), my military jump boots or my sneakers. Sneakers only during extremely hot days during extremely short trips around my home area.

Sure you should suit up every time no matter the conditions but I just find it a bit uncomfortable around noon-time in 96 degree weather for a round the block run .

i bought a pair of harley riding boots,,, they have steel toe and zippered sides.. very comfortable, waterproof and lets the air get in on the sides. got them on ebay for $70 saw them in a store for $180... but i wear them all the time not just for riding.

Caterpillar steel toe-capped. Really comfortable, and they give grip on the road in wet weather while waiting at a traffic light.

Wolverine Durashock Workboots...No steel toe. Most comfortable boots I have ever worn (more comfortable than most shoes too!)

I voted steel-toed originally because I had a pair of steel-toed Sketchers that I purchased through work. The quality was bad. I went back to non-steel-toed Sketcher work boots. Best damn walking/riding/sleeping boots I've ever had. At $50 a pop, very affordable. My vote needs to be changed.

One thing that I've noticed. Helmet, jacket, gloves ... doesn't matter. Boots are the toughest thing to get used to when it comes to changing gear.

I wear a pair of diadora express boots on the weekends, but when I ride to work (every week day) I just wear regular street shoes.

Doc Martens rule...no slip/durable sole, "cushiony" & they come all kinds of styles. I prefer the 8-eye--covers your ankles! I wear 2 (no I don't mix n match - LOL): wine colored and brown..the brown ones I wore while tiling a floor so they are pretty worn in...all the more comfty though. Check out www.sierratradingpost.com for deals!
