| 1. Make: Arai 2. Model: Signet GTR 3. Approximate price paid: $300(US) 4. Approximate age of helmet: 2months old Hell it's so comfortable, I wear anytime I'm on here posting. Honestly though, I'm still so concentrated on getting back into the groove of riding that I rarely notice my helmet except when I'm stopped and it starts to fog up.

| KBC VR-1 $200 Almost one year old. I'm going to replace it in the next couple of days. I think I'm going with a Shoei RF-1000. I think my head has shrunk! When I bought my helmet, I couldn't get most large-sized helmets on my head, so I had to go with an XL. I've noticed over the last couple of months that my helmet has loosened somewhat. I figured that it had just gotten packed out a little, but when I've gone to try on helmets, I can now fit a L on my melon.

Turning my head at 70 or over is thrilling. Vents OK, I would like a little better for the hot days. Face shield changing is good, face shield quality is good. Weight is bad. Vents are starting to age ... I expect them to fly off or wedge opened or closed pretty soon. Slated for delivery to me this week: 1. Make: Shoei 2. Model: RF-1000 Nerve 3. Approximate price paid: $ 353.14 shipped with a spare dark smoke shield 4. Approximate age of helmet (in months): 0 months Received the Shoei helmet last night. Wow. Lighter. Better quality. Better venting. Better fit and finish. Better peripheral viewing. Came with decent bag, breath guard and chin curtain (and spare shield). You definitely get what you pay for. Tested this morning at 50 degrees (was THAT cold this morning). Fogging was minimal. Will finalize test this afternoon in 85+ degrees (they're calling for it to be that HOT).

| 1. Make: HJC 2. Model: Sy-Max 3. Approximate price paid: ~$160 4. Approximate age of helmet (in months): 9 I ended up getting some larger cheek pads - made it fit much better. It could use more vent action when the Alabama summertime temps get on up there.

| 1. Make: HJC 2. Model: AC-2 3. Price: $89.00 4. Age: 2 months This is a very comfortable helmet. In fact if someone in your house snores at night, you could probably wear it to bed and sleep better than you currently do. I recently dumped my bike and even though the helmet got banged up, my head was fine. |
