| If you take the Motorcyle Safety Foundation course, not only will you learn some great techniques for staying alive, but, in some states, you dont have to take the 'driving' portion of the motorcycle license test. I believe here in Texas it works like that. It is a great learning experience, and I cannot say how glad I am that I took it! |

| i am taking the second or advanced course. they say if you go through all of them you get reimbursted. also my first time i loved just racing around the track with my rebel 250, my teacher liked our class and said he will turn his back for 30 minutes. awww good times.

| Took the "Basic" course about four months ago before buying my B-King and after arriving in the midwest. Saved me from having to take the "riding" portion of the licensing exam (my "M" endorsement had expired). I have been riding, off and on for about 39 years. I used to drag race motorcycles when I was in my late teens and early 20's. And, I can say without hesitation, that not only is the course worthwhile, I learned....or rather "unlearned" several very important things. It really doesn't matter how much experience you have. Taking the course is a wise investment. You'd be surprised how much different what they know now is from what we "knew" then. I actually use my rear brake now for other than emergency stops. And, I learned that it's OK now to admit you countersteer without having to worry about your buddies thinking you are nuts for saying it....go figure! B-Rex |

| About 15 years ago, I told the wife, I'll not ride again so I gave up the cycle mark on my license. You guessed it, I decide to ride again. Bought me a bike but only rode it in the neighborhood with a permit until I could go to the community college and take the MSF. After that, Virginia waived the road test. Got my endorsement, now 4 bikes with miles later, I'm an avid supporter of the program. Like my buddy said, you may have 30+ years experience or rather do you have one year experience multiplied 30 times? I feel anyone that takes the MSF course will benefit if only for one little thing learned - that one little thing may save your life or minimize an injury. Trust Me, the're two categories of riders - the one that has gone down and the one that gonna go down. Keep the rubber on the road!! MIKE aka Uturn |

| Yup, took the class when I was 20, and it was actually what got me into riding. My buddy got a great deal on a pristine '85 Shadow 700, and California law requires you to take the course if you're under 21, but he didn't want to do it by himself... So as you've probably guessed, took the class with him having never ridden before, and I was absolutely hooked. Three months later I had a bike of my own
