Haven't taken anything but the riding test after ALOT of practice. I have the MSF course on my mind though.....see if there's any pointers I haven't picked up on.

I took the Basic Riding course in June, bought a new bike in July. I hope to take the advanced course next summer.

After that? I don't know. Should I take the advanced course over and over again as a refresher?

I voted for the first one. I took the BRC last June. I have the ERC coming up on 10 Sep and I plan on taking it annually.

I took the test for the 1st time in July...passed...yay! I started riding in April. I highly recommend the course to all levels. The instructors I had were great, the course was well-designed and the scheduling was flexible...oh yea & since I live in PA it was free (for once I appreciate my fees at work)!

Couldn't vote. You should have another category. I taught it for the State of NH for 10 years. You enthusiasts out there ought to consider becomimg instructors. Where do you think they get them?

I'd go back but it's incredibly difficult to get into courses in Chicagoland.

When I started riding, (30 years ago) there were no courses around here. Now that my sons are wanting to ride, I'm thinking of taking it with them.
