I would have gotten a mid range bike 800-900cc. The 1600 is great but the learning curve for me as a new rider has been difficult. The smaller would fit my commuting need more which is what I use my bike for most.

I would get the same model, but a different bike, instead of one on a rebuilt title.

I inherited it. It's a great bike. I would go a little smaller. Maybe a Boulavard or a Shadow

A few years and a lot of miles later, if I could go back to the summer of '04 and choose again, I still think the C50 was the best choice available. There are a couple bikes that have come out since then that I like - if the Vulcan 900 was out back then it would have been a contender. That said, the C50 still makes me happy.
That's what it is all about.

I voted no. I love my C50 and plan to keep it for a while, but I bought it specifically to learn to ride. I've already started shopping around for my next...

I started looking for my next bike the minute I got home from the dealership with my M50.

This current one....? I'm not so sure, I want to get rid of it. Next bike may be an addition.

You know...

That same wisdom could be applied to marriage. Just substitute Alimony Court for Bank.

I would definitely buy the same bike. After 2 years, coming up on 3 with my C50, I still enjoy it. Wouldn't mind adding another bike, but finances won't allow that just yet.

Since this thread won't stay down, I'll chime in.

2 years ago I thought the M50 was IT. I couldn't say a single thing negative about it. The M had it all. However, time would reveal a longing for a cruiser with a little more oomph...a little more velocity shall we say.

Next week I'll pick up the bike that logic and common sense steered me away from a few years ago....An '05 Anniversary Edition VMax.

120 HP and VBoost at 6000 RPM...GID-E-UP!

Default nah!

I picked up a suzuki m50 in 2005. The looks were what caught me. I was always a Yamaha rider but the price of the bigger Star cycles were out of my range so I went with the suzuki. I am fickle when it comes to bikes, as soon as I get one that I think I like, my tastes change. I do like the FI on the M50 but the simple things about the bike rub on me, like the lack of self cancelling directionals. My 83 yamaha had them, why did Suzuki not put them on the m50 in 2005?

no to the m50...anyone interested i a low mileage 2005 m50?

I have never had a bike with them. Can't miss what you never had I geuss. I wonder how many new bikes have them. Well, other than like BMW, Harley, and the like.

self cancelling turn signals, it would be a nuisance, I don't know if it would stop me from buying a M50.
