14 months after buying this bike, I would make the same chioce.
I have added some aftermarket but that has just enhanced the ride factor.

The grin just gets bigger.

I would buy the same bike, BUT not from the same dealer.

Other than a Honda CX500 I had once (it was bullet-proof, but decidedly uninspiring...), I’d be happy to have any of my previous bikes...

No. Having said that I must say that I still really like my M50 but if I were to buy a bike now I'd be looking at the V-Star 1300

yes, especially considering its been under two months since i bought my current bike! every little mod i've done has been an improvement, from getting rid off the butt ugly stickers the past owner put on, through to EQUAL bar end weights, new rubber on both hoops. Oh and replacing the H4 globe socket because some nimrod decided a 100/65 globe might be a smart idea and melted the hell out of it. im just lucky it didn't affect the lamp unit.

I'd have to say no. The Bandit is a very good all-rounder, but for my riding, and if I were keeping in the same budget area, I'd go either a DL1000 or(really!!!) a Concours. I'm doing much more 2 up than I thought I would, and have found some gravel and dirt roads down here that make the Bandit very skittish.

The good news is my budget doesn't care what I buy so I'm in the market again, all makes and models to be considered. Right now I like the FJR but I'm going to wait to see everyone's 07 models.

I would have bought a V Star / Shadow 1100 or the Kawi 900 and taken it easy like all my buddy's suggested. The V Star 650 is just to small.

I would buy another C50T. I go 80 miles round trip To work
rain or shine. I ride with the Springville Travlers Motor cycle Club and keep up with the Harleys and other bigger bikes.

Default Bigger is better

I do a larger cubic inch bike,
Probably a Suzuki C-90 or other 1300 or above metric cruiser.

Yes I would. I bought a Suzuki M50 from a friend who decided to get a Harley instead. He sold it to me for $5000.00. Gas prices were alot like they are now and I needed transportation that wouln't cost as much as my 1990 Suburban. I hadn't ridden a motorcycle in 25 years. I found the M50 to be a perfect reentry bike it handled well and didn't have overwheling power. Just over 8000 miles in the last year and I am ready to move up but I don't have any regrets.

The best thing about dirt bikes is that there is no point in washing them. Thats so cool.

I loooooove my Volusia. for me it is the perfect bike. I will agree that it needs a little more of a highway gear, but none-the-less, the look, feel, ride, etc. were exactly what I was looking for.
