I need a better back seat for my Wife, and I really wouldn't mind getting a better horn either. While we are at it, the exauhst has some burned rubber crap on it from the owner befores shoes (he really didn't know how to ride) so I may want to change that too. But other then that, it is a beut!!

I voted "other" because I'd like a larger engine/more weight.

I've already changed my turn signals and my exhaust so I would change my windshield then my tires next.

Pipes!!!..I want the loudest pipes I can get (safety feature). Riding around Chicago drivers cant hear the stock pipes. I can pull right up to them, they don't even know I'm there!!!!!..so...early next riding season, I'm getting loud pipes. Shorter too, I think the factory pipes look too cartoonish... |

Ray, loud pipes are NOT a safety feature. Loud pipes are an annoyance, and put your rights at risk. In Europe, there are STRICT and ENFORCED restrictions about how loud a bike can be. The VIN plate on my bike includes the maximum allowable noise level - in my case, 88 dBA at 3400 rpm. I am only allowed to mount pipes that have been approved for use with my bike (or I have to spend $$$ to have custom-made pipes individually tested by the motor-vehicles authorities). It is not uncommon for the police to setup inpromptu field inspections on popular riding routes, pulling out and inspecting any bike that they feel is too loud or not 100% street legal. If the "loud pipes" fallacy continues in the USA, it won't be long before you are subjected to the same kinds of inspections as we are over here...

Must have missed this one first time 'round. Chose 'other'. Needs more cowbell...AKA POWER. I love everything about the bike. Handles great. Looks great...yadda, yadda.. Occasionally, not always, wish it had more horses under me.

Have already changed seat to a real saddle, did a stage-1, tweaked the pegs for better foot placement options, already have better grips, still working on refining better throne-room accouterments for the pillion, did a windshield more to my liking and upgraded to Progressives in the rear, but the next to go under the knife (assuming I hang onto the bike) are tires and brake refinements. Oh, and am defarkling as I go...

I thought I answered one of these before...but I don't think there was a poll. I would want a 6th gear, Fuel Guage...and a little more cushion to the seat. Although I'm used to the seat & know what to do in order to make a ride be comfortable. That's about it...anything else I thought I would have wanted in the past, I no longer need. |
