I find that after about 200 miles or three hours I am ready to get off the bike for an hour or so. I haven't tried any long road trips yet but if I do I will plan to take my time and stop frequently. My butt manages well but my hands start to hurt after long periods on the throttle. I cover both all the time, I wonder if this is part of the problem.

Maybe you should try the Throttle Rocker or something like it.

I use the Kury Throttle Boss and it is awesome for those long rides. It was ineffective for me though on the last leg of our recent journey, riding in the rain in stop and go traffic for a few hours. Thursday night my right wrist felt like it was hit with a sledge hammer.

Me and a group of guys did almost 300 miles last weekend and never made it more than 70 miles from home. Wr are blessed with some killer curvy backroads around here.

i have a butt buffer and it worked well for a while, then my ass was beyond help but we were putting in 400-600 miles in consecutive days. nothing can help that. But in general it helps out the stock seat quite well and can be taken off if just going around town.

thanks tricker i might get that . i seen suzuki sold a gel seat and i was considering that. me and my friend were thinking about buying a memory foam bed from a cheap place or buying a used one and taking it to an upholstery shop to make a seat . we figure we could probably get at least 7 seats out of a queen. i know i need to do more research but it seems like a decent idea for the moment. i have sat on the chair and it was heaven

The final answer is always conditioning, like any physical activity.

Monkey Butt Powder helps too. Keeping the ol rump dry helps out alot towards not feeling the pain.

I have heard the AirHawk seat does wonders too. Of course Rowdy's beads look like it might be a good idea.

You have to be man enough to withstand the taunting, though.
