happens all the time... in a cage, there usually isn't a way out the way people drive around here...

you didn't have an option for "Giv'R and blow right past them"

You left out one. Evade the current threat then pull up beside said threat ahd kick off the sideview mirror that he wasn't using.

When they do this to me while on my bike, I like to brake a bit, go around to their other side so they can see me and urinate on their window.

If I'm in "the tank" (previously totalled truck that I only drive to work and the dump), I just hold my chimi a little tighter and wait for the impact. Then I get the insurance info so I know who'll be mailing me my check

If I'm in the car, the good truck or on one of the bikes, I brake like hell and get mad. Especially if I drop that chimi during the accident. You can dent my ride, by don't make me drop my chimi.

Lol, I actually saw that done once, and that's just what the biker said to the cager.

It happened at a stop light, I didn't see when the car had cut the bike off, but when they both had to stop for the light, the rider puts his kick stand down, and walks up to the car, and yells at the driver, "since your not using this, I'm sure you won't mind if I remove it for you", Than he kicks the right side rear view mirror, and it falls right off the car. The biker than walks back to his bike, gets on, and makes a u-turn, and leaves. The woman driving the car started trying to get her car turned around, but I figured if she caught him, she would probably run him over, so I blocked her with my truck. She was furious.

. . . or a lack of understanding of the vandalism laws. People get cut off all of the time in traffic. Overreacting isn't going to help.

today i almost got sideswiped 3 times in a span of 2 hours. scary thing is, 2 of those actually did shoulder checks and didn't see me right beside them...

i pulled up beside them in 2 cases and made sure they looked at me and then i pointed to my eyes... they looked sheepish..

everyone makes mistakes... it just seems that i'm the target most days

I noticed most answers had hit the horn. I've been driving a bike for close to 25 years and over 100k miles and don't recall ever using my horn except when a large group of woman were looking. (just kidding) Not sure what that will do for you to hit the horn.
I drive like I'm invisible and expect jerks to not be able to see me so I gracefully yield to a car, truck or whatever. In 100k+ miles I have never locked a tire or had a panic situation I needed to get out of and don't have a clue as to what laying a bike down would even be like.
Me thinks one should forget about the horn when reacting to a near crash situation.
Jim

I'd hate to admit, but it seems like women in general don't use their mirrors, side or rear. So frustrating....

Jimmydee we are talkin in a car or truck not on a bike

Why should you drive differently on a bike than in your car
someone coming into your lane is someone coming into your lane no mater what your driving
