Default Pants

Feel free to post the brand of what you wear, and how you like 'em as well, whether you've crashed in 'em or not.

You didn't leave an option for textile overpants.

In my case, it depends. If it's a regular ride, I wear jackets (either mesh or leather) with protectors and leather pants (yes, even in summer) and if I ride on any track, I wear full leather (perforated).

During winter, I also stick those self-adhesive hot patch (or whatever you call them) inside my jacket to get some heat. Still, it's freezing cold, but bearable with those patches.

i only wear jeans for now...
i've tried on some overpants, and they all felt like i was wearing a snowsuit!
i want something light, armoured, not too bulky and waterproof..
it's hard getting my fatass into them

... I went down once in regular jeans...and tore up my left knee very bad.

....I still wear regular jeans... but now with CE armor underneath covering my knees and upper shin. I pulled the armor out of yet another 'failed to fit me' custom armored pants for women...*sigh*...and made a simple elastic retainer. Now I slip them on before the levis...and it doesnt even show unless I bend my legs 90 deg or so.

My crash I was wearing jeans, and while they didn't actually rip, my knees got blown to hell. 2 surgeries on the right knee alone.

Thats why I posted the poll. I'm shopping for good, (protective), comfy (as they can be) riding pants.

Good idea for the meantime Annie. I can't imagine my knees taking another hit....

Firstgear leather pants 95% of the time (plain jeans the other 5%). love just about everything about them, except that i wish they had pockets on the front or side so that i can stuff my hands somewhere when i'm just standing around. there's a small pocket on the front, big enough for a key or something, but i don't use it. i like the knee / shin armor on the inside, and they have pockets for hip armor as well (though i don't have any armor bits in place there).

Nitro mesh textile overpants, very easy to get off and on. I love them, because they have two zip regular size pockets in front, none in the back and I wear them over my jeans in cooler weather and with just underamor shorts in the summer. CE armored in the knees and lightly in the shin.
Before that I used hard plastic offroad shin and knee protectors under my jeans ala TallAnnie...they worked great.

I can't really answer the question, since you don't have an "most of the above" option.

I've got (deep breath here):
- Textile riding pants (2 pair)
- Textile overpants (1 pair)
- Leather riding pants (1 pair)

and I'm shopping for some Kevlar Jeans ...

I'm still waiting for someone to make protective riding gear to match my clown shoes, rainbow hair, and and red nose... I'm thinking yellow with red polka dots.
