Default EXL Racing Jacket

Ok, what do you guys think of this as a basic riding jacket?
eBay Motors: $169 NEW MESH SPORT BIKE MOTORCYCLE JACKET w/ CE ARMOR (item 120087847123 end time Feb-22-07 17:30:20 PST)
Mind you, I only ride on the street, not real agressive usually, and am looking for a basic riding jacket that will save my skin in a fall. From the description it sounds pretty damn good for the price.

Just so you know, my impulsiveness has already made me purchase one (black and silver to match the 9'r, looks like black and white in the picture) and it should be here on Friday. If it seems to be crap I'll send it back, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I've done a lot of shopping over the last few years, and I've never heard of them. I'd personally stick to known brands. You can go to Newenough and find some fantastic closeouts of brand name stuff.

I've never seen them either. I am hoping that it is a fairly new brand or something. I'll let everyone know about the workmanship and quality when it gets here tomorrow, and whether or not I'll be sending it back.

Well, my jacket arrived today and I have to say it's nicer than I expected. It's got leather on the shoulders and forearms, all the armor seems heavy and thick, and all the stiching is tight and top notch. It's adjustable in the right places, plus all the zippers work flawlessly, which I was worried about. It also looks much nicer in hand than it does online. All in all, I think it was a good buy. Seems just as good as JR stuff to me.

I bought this jacket and was really surprised when it arrived. I too was expecting a crap quality jacket but received by far the best jacket I've owned. Thick heavy leather, good quality stitching, perfect fit. I couldnt be happier with it and only spent $60 as opposed to $200 or more.

You're pretty safe going with these guys.

Thanks to your post I just bought the EXL Racing Jacket in blue, we'll see if I like it as much as you. I was looking at the Power Trip Voodoo jackets-very simular- but they have been discontinued and I can't find my size at a decent price( either different sizes cheap-clearance sale-or my size full price).

I just got an EXL MJ-501 textile jacket in the mail today. This jacket appears to be just awesome! It's raining or I'd go test it out. It's supposed to be waterproof but I don't want to get my bike dirty. The jacket has all the features I could want and looks very nice. This is an excellent product for an excellent price!

I have an EXL riding jacket. I enjoy it and I've had no problems over 2 years.

Yes, you get what you pay for and sticking to known brands is always safe; but then again, you just further a monopoly on products that aren't necessarily the best, they are just the most familiar.
