| I'm looking to get at least a jacket and probably pants as well (already have the helmet, gloves, summer mesh w/padding jacket)...whats best? There is so much to chose from, I'm at a loss. I would like the added protection because I'm going to be commuting to work, and am looking at about 75 - 100 miles a day. I'd prefer to be able to wear it over my work cloths (jeans and a shirt), but if that's not possible, I can just keep cloths at work. I need something that will keep me primarily warm and safe should I go down. I can deal w/being wet if I have to, but don't really like being cold So I'm looking for personal likes and dislikes of any/all the different products. Any experiences you have and links to the good products would be great! Thanks! |

| Leathers. Full leathers. If you get textile stuff, get some that have the pockets for GP Armor. Then get the GP armor. If you go down, you will thank me later. - Nut

| 87gsxrnut - thanks for the advice...but should I get just any type of leathers? I've seen some that have different thicknesses...i.e. 1.1 mm, 1.2 - 1.4mm etc. What's the difference between leathers and the textile stuff...I know what leather it, but not textile...thanks!
