Try using a little bit of dish soap. Rub some on the inside and then rub clear with a micro fiber cloth.

I posted earlier on the fog city shield. Me thinks I spoke too soon. It finally failed me today. Fogged up this morning in the fog, and this evening when I got caught in a downpour. Before it always worked like a charm.
I had to crack the shield open, then got rain on the inside of the shield, rain in my eyes, rain drip-dropping in from the edge of the helmet...other than that riding in the rain is kinda fun!
So now I'm wondering if those pinlock shields would be better, or does anything work here in the PNW?

I picked up some of these at the Minn. bike show. So far it works pretty good on my glasses. Have not tried them on one of my faceshields yet. Zooke Anti-fog | Sunglasses, Goggles, Windshields, Camera Lens

They got me too at the last show. "Hey mister let me clean your glasses real quick".

Actually Works pretty good on the inside on the shield. Definitely reduces fogging. I don't know if it's possible to have zero fog on cold days.

My 2 cents. Try and get a fog-free shield. I tried chemicals and my own spit...for me all it did was stink up my helmet. What I ended up doing was cracking it when I would come to a stop and then would get a fog free.

cracking the visor is the best in very light rain and hot/cold situations..

BUT... sucks when it's really heavy rain...

Go buy a Pinlock helmet and you don't need to use any solvents or other magic tricks. It's not a new invention, just many that are not up to date on the gear front.

I have a Nolan w/ pinlock antifog shield and it doesn't work. I have to crack the shield about a half inch or so and so long as i'm moving it works fine. I was going to try cat crap but found our local ski shop had closed. Good luck it is a nuisance.

Nolan/X-lite has got their own kind of pinlock. It looks kind of shady if you ask me. The ones on Arai and Shoei are the real deal. They work, and I'm not saying that for nothing. I ride in any kind of weather.

nope... going about 40-45 mph
it had been raining since the day before... but this downpour was nasty...

it was bad enough that when i stopped over at a gas station (in the middle of pretty much nowhere) the attendant didn't let me pay for my coffee...

even cars were pulling over at the gas station to wait out the worst of it...

i'd say a combination of my breath and the heat from my face caused them to fog up...
(and with all that, the only part of me wet was my face)

Nothing like feeling like your drowning in your own helmet.. I too keep mine cracked most of the time, only thing I've found that doesn't stink up my helmet and accutally worked.

That happened to me last year, I was heading home from my parents place, and mistimed the approach of a storm (left overs from a Hurricane), by the time I got back off the highway and somewhere safe I felt more like I was on a Jetski than an M50, water was just about touching the bottom of my front brake disc and my toes were leaving their own wake... All this happened in a matter of about 10 minutes. ironicly enough, the reason i mistimed the storm was that I had stopped to dig my rain suit out of my bags and put it on.
