Hey. I left the forks on the bike and taped up everything I didn't want paint on. Then I bought Paint prep and a scouring pad. I soaked the pad and rubed with medium pressure on the area of the forks I wanted to paint. Wiped excess down and made sure no residue or dirt was left. Then sprayed Duplicolor Cailper paint directly on the forks with no primer. Be carefull this %%%% comes out thick and heavy you'll get runs really quick. I ran 2 coats medium wet and the paint looks like Powder coat, and won't chip off from road grime. My favorite mod so far, Why have aluminum Forks on a bike with onlt chrome accents? It was a %%%%ing eysore.
