I recently purchased a 2008 V-Star 1300 Tourer and am very happy with it with the exception of 1 thing. It doesn't seem to have the low end torque that my v-star 1100 had. I have to shift down to 1st gear when making a slow turn like turning at a traffic signal. Even then, it seems to clunk unless I ride the clutch. I have switched to a higher octane fuel and that helps a little bit but it still feels sluggish. Has anyone else experienced this? Now, having said that, once it gets up a few rpm's it absolutely screams. Other than the low end power complaint, I love this bike. This is the only bike I have ever bought that the stock seat was a perfect fit and never gives me a pain in the a_ _! It cruises as well as my Gold Wing did and is much more fun to ride. All in all, if I could resolve the above mentioned problem I would have no complaints whatsoever.
