    They are a little louder than de-baffled stock at idle. Same thing when you are slowly accelerating. But when you hit the gas, they can get loud.

    Overall, they are quieter than I wanted - I was pretty happy with the Strippers/American Classics that I had. But I start up at 5 AM, and they were waking up the neighbors.

    I wouldn't say they sound like they are under water, but the muffler cartridges do significantly dampen both the high and low frequencies.
