| Quicke chopper mock up! Wanted to see how my tank would go, what kind of handle bars etc- Looks like I will be using an old yamaha tank that is wider in the front and taller than the Z tank, and meld the two together using my famous tank melding mind powers LOL The extra 5 inches of gooseneck set the handle bars pretty far away, even for my long arms- looks like I will be using good old fashion buckhorn bars in the old school chopper style. Probably about 4 inches of riser too LOL The rake is 36 degrees, the gooseneck 5 inches. Frame welded with plugs. The GS 1100 E swing arm in one of the pics, and the GSX rims you see in the pics, I have both front and back. I am using GSX 600 Katana F forks, brakes, rims (front and back) ZX 6 triple tree, neck stem (neck is converted to ZX triple tree, ZX 6 forks are the same diameter as Suzuki GSX forks- 41mm) I will have a 900 motor making about 90+ crank hp in it. |

| I am taking the whole chopper thing a new direction for me- no hardtails for the first thing- I am blending my hot bike/naked bike styles I like with the raked out and long forks of the chopper set. This one is very old school, with the buckhorn bars and sissy bar I will make for it, and "zoomie" pipes I will make it- two individual pipes on each side, with the last 18" angled up and back at the same angle as the sissy bar, which is the same angle of the rake- you know, symetry LOL(sp) - With a near hundred horse motor, superbike suspension, and abot 4.6 inches of trail, it will handle pretty damn good still- better than probably any cruiser made today, and a good rider on this bike will keep up with a squid on a sport bike I think. It will be a nice middle distance cruiser for me and the wife, totally custom, one off, unusual, old school look, new school performance thing. Next chopper, I already have the frame for it, will have a girder front end, so will be a little more chopper-ish than this one LOL |
