Default Sundays Ride Around SoCal

Warning! The following photographs may be to graphic and phsycologically damaging to members in colder climates!

Perfect ride day weather wise, 78 degrees. A week after our heavy storms, and the Santa Monica mountain roads are still a mess but passable. If any part of one lane was passable,it's been left to clean up later. Needless to say it kept the pace way down. Some had mountain sides sitting on them, others had lakes, boulders trees etc. One road we used to ride under a bridge is now a flowing river. Can't even locate the asphalt anymore. Some looked like dual sport roads but were actually paved!

The pictures of the Viper are cool. Daddy bought his son a new Viper. Son takes it to the twisties! Loses control and takes out a Porche Carrera with less than 300 miles, A new F-250, a Dodge Ram and a BMW bike. They were all parked too! Luckily no one was near the vehicles when he made his driving debut! My friend told him not to worry, "It should all buff out!" Then Daddy showed up and took Junior home in a new Turbo Carrera!

My camera died, so here's the link to my friends pics. Ignore the guy in black leathers, he's not supposed to have been in any pics!

Thumbs up

Very Kwel,
Great spot to hang out. Here is a couple of pics from Newbrunswick Canada.

The second pic is a Wild Moose that I almost hit last fall. Trust me they are a VERY large BEAST that you do not want to hit with a transport truck let alone a bike. My father-in-law hit one with his Rig and it caused $27000 cdn to fix. They are like hitting a 1200 to 1600 lbs bag of half dried cement. In certian parts of Newbruswick, we call them speed bumps.

As big as they are they are really hard to see at night. The fur blends into the night sky. They will run out onto the road at the last second. Some of the big rigs that drive arond Newfound land have a full grill of heavy duty bars to protect the truck and driver.

Hey, Dale! I was there!! Well, before the car showed up, anyway.

Open all photos, fifth and sixth rows down, yellow gixxer.

Good day to ride, bad day to avoid CHP.
