Here's mine a little dirty. It's been raining and I would prefer to ride than wash.

1981 Yamaha 550 Maxim...

its currently back together except for the tank (like an idiot, i dropped it well actually the cardboard box it straddled tipped and put a very noticable dent in the tank)...

it hadnt run since 1994 and after rebuilding the carbs, it wouldnt run right. took it to www.thundervallleypowersports.com
and Carl got it going in 5 minutes. i cleaned all of the oxidation off the chrome and aluminum last summer/fall...

it should be tagged and on the road by next saturday...

not too complain, but dave, was it really necessary to take the clutch cover off?

My generally understanding is that unless you abuse the bike, clutch plates are usually good for the life of the bike.

......and that is from the perspective of my old xs850 with 49,305 miles and the original clutch. With adjustment left even!

was it really necessary to take the clutch cover off?

i am owner number 4. owner number 3 got it in wrecked condition from owner number 2. number 3 had plugged a hole in the clutch cover with some JB Weld. it started leaking. i had it welded (back when i bought it in 91) but the free weld job left something to be desired. (you can have it GOOD, CHEAP or FAST. pick two. i picked Cheap and Fast)...

i pulled it off to have a buddy weld it up completely and then i had to dress it and polish it. i polished all of the oxidized aluminum. i could have polished it more but i couldnt get the whole bike to look new so i had to leave a little bit 'aging' on it...

im doing fork seals right now and will have it on the road by next week. ime going to let my buddy from high school ride it while i ride my new (to me) seca 750...

Default My gorgeous Roger

Here's a piccy of my Suzuki GSXR750 SRAD, I've had him for almost 4 years and he is the bike of my dreams... ok I'm a bit sad but then again I hit 40 and started to lose the plot! Roger's colour scheme was designed for the American market and was described as the Californian Urban Tiger - like the proverbial rocking horse poop in the UK, unlike the blue and white (common as %%%%e) Gixers everywhere!

santa was very kind and gifted me a new seat for Roger, isn't it cooooool!

All year round I ride him with my little pillion... bagted who changes his "attire" to suit the weather/season - this was his winter hi viz vest, well it was dark by 4pm and I don't finish work til 5pm! I'm a safety girl

and.... ahem, bagted enjoys the festive holidays too (and yes I do force him to ride with me in that get-up and worse!)

oh and just to prove that I don't live in a small padded room with a little round window in the door..... here's me and me hubby and little bagted on holiday on a Greek Island last year!

I like the lower fairing on the 1250 there. It matches the style of the bike well.
