Default Annie in Eastern Oregon

Hi.. Frank and I took a great 450 mi tour from Hillsboro to Bend and back... went out on Hiway 26...and back on US 20 / Or 22. I cannot recommend this for twistys...but we saw some amazing views.....here are some shots of the great views we had. I bought a new pocket camera ( Canon SD 750)...soo much easier to pull over and take a quick shot now !

PS ... I need someone to tell me how to post full size shots like all of you do instead of these freakin thumbnails...*sigh*... I know, I know..."there aint no freak-in-thumbnails"...lol

I start with Mt Hood and Timberline lodge..

Annie thanks for sharing the great pics!!
Wow, they all look like post card pics!
And those old gas pumps are soooooo cute! I never thought you could find these for real!

As for posting big pics, I figured it out recently too, but all you have to do is to click on the little mountain icon on your "advanced reply" box. The one that is fifth from the right in the lower line of icons. A small box will appear so you copy and paste a link to your pic. So that means you need to have it somewhere on a web. And then push OK.

That way, it gets embedded in your post.

But the pics you posted are REALLY nice, be it thumbnails or what!!
Again, thank you!

Looks like you got the pic posting sorted. If you want to post full size in the thread, you have to host elsewhere and link to them.

What a great ride!

...thanks Kay and all. It was a great ride for the scenery...and it was Frank's birthday too. But central oregon does tend to have long straight roadways with a minimum of twisties.

Hmmm...ok.... have to host pics eslewhere huh. First ya gotta take the pic, then download the pic, then shrink the pic to a decent size, then upload to a remote web host, then link it to the email...*sigh*. I think I am sticking with attachments...

Gixxerman...it does look like that doesnt it?.... always did like Jack... and the "no freak-in-thumbnails"s also an obscure reference to his work..

Awesome photos Annie. I really like the one of N.Santiam river. Cool...nice colors in the water. I had never seen water so many different colors until I came the the Pacific Northwest. I love it!

Gotta love living in Oregon!
If you want a fun twisty ride, I recommend Aufderheide memorial highway (Hwy 19) which runs from near Blue River on the Mckenzie Highway to Westfir on the Willamette Highway (Hwy 58 )

Grand scenery!

(I am really starting to despise Florida.)
