Default How I spent the 4th of July

Somewhere north of Las Vegas on a deserted highway at 7am and 90 something degrees. Even the moon was to hot to set!

Well then, hop a plane to Vegas and rent a bike! It was such a nice ride that I made that picture my new background!

It is straight and hot , but it leads to the mountain in the distance with some nice twisties and 30 degrees cooler when you get there! The only cool getaway place with twisty roads any where near Las Vegas.

A Hardley Drivable? Well I never, well, uhh, ya, I did years ago, but don't tell anyone on this forum that, I'll be BANNED! Now I have a real motorcycle!

Oh great not only do you get to blow the straights on your way to the twisties, the weather is 30 degree cooler. I hate you.

Now that you mention it, the straights did go by at a somewhat high rate of speed and that's all I will confess to. Sorry Fox, but someone has to get away from the PC and have some fun! Was I near your neighborhood?
Best ride was Red Rock Canyon at sunrise. It's 13 miles of good twisty asphalt. It's also "one way", no DY to sweat. That was like being at the track. Park was empty, zero traffic, not even parked cars, and I just had to do several "brisk" laps. Anymore than that and I plead the 5th!

Oh huh. Desert flats with limitless visibility, twisty roads with cool spring breeze in July, and no COPS! Wait did you say one way? Your making me sick. Now I know I do hate you.

Sure I was in the neighborhood 2,000 miles away sweating my arse off avoiding traffic and slowing down on the straights with watch full eye.

Too late... I know what your Gixxer tops out at. Squid

Well then, I won't tell you about my 150 mile commute. It's a tough one from LA to Santa Barbara via some awesome twisty canyons through two mountain ranges for 80% of the distance, then the last leg up the coastline enjoying the cool ocean breeze and watching the dolphins go by.
No I shouldn't tell you about that part. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear it. Not everyone in LA has a crappy commute!
