There still seems to be a problem with the gallery. I haven't been able to add any more pictures to the 2 I uploaded a few days ago.

No error message. I also uploaded some pictures into a new album and they don't show up either, neither does the new album. I did get confirmation messages though.....

Let me do some additional tests...

Edit: I do see you new album in the admin panel but there's nothing in it. "Wife practising slow slalom ..."

Not tryin to be a smart guy, but I had misplaced my pics at first since I did not notice there were a couple options under CATEGORY Found mine under RIDES

Good point, but his profile does say only 2 pictures...

I uploaded a new picture in my profile. 3 in my album and one under the Members' Rides category.

Hmmm... I'm beginning to suspect that the pictures I'm trying to upload are too large. Is there a size limit which would prevent my uploads from getting there?

Ok, so it turns out there is in fact a size limit per picture. I took the same pics I've been trying to upload and used 60% jpg compression on them and they uploaded just fine. Guess we need to figure out just what the size limit is.

I thought they were supposed to be rescaled auto-magically, at least pixel wise.

1024 x 1280 is the max pixel size. Bigger pictures should be resized...
6MB is the max file size.

Could one of you guys give me a hand. I have uploaded
two pictures and have even tried to do the url upload
and still don't see the pix in my album. I know they have
to be approved, but it was a few days ago. Then again
it could be my dumb arse not doing it right.

No, I think maybe my file size is too large. I will have to play with
them and see if that will make it happen. Thats the only thing I
can think of. DIRTY RAT for putting that in my album. Knowing I

Well Moderators, I think this is a much underused resource. For starters it does not appear to be user friendly. Have seen a comment that a link on the 1st page to get us to the photos would be a valued addition. I have used it a couple times and still have difficulty finding my way to photos that others post that I would really enjoy viewing. Could someone do a simple "HOW TO", which would tell even dummies like myself 1) how to find the gallery easily. 2) how to find the different categories in the gallery. 3) then have a list of members who have posted photos in the gallery, in which category. Lastly please realize that all users may not be as computer or site literate as our moderators may be, so our questions may not be totally stupid. Thank you for your consideration.

The easiest way to find the gallery is probably to use the 'Featured Photos' bar at the top of the forum index page. If it's collapsed, it'll look like attachment 1. Expanded, it'll look like attachment 2. Click any photo to enter.

To see the members list, click 'Member' in the tree, as in attachment 3.

To search by category, use 'Search' from the link bar, as in attachment 4.
