DBeckett- I counted 20 mods (big and small) in your pics. Cool.

Here's the evolution of my M.

Pretty much stock except the Triple-D (debadged, depaired and debaffled):

After stripes, lowered 3", tail light mod, custom made front turn signals, side mounted plate and no speedo:

After new harley risers, handlebars narrowed 3.5", kuryakens and a few other little things (left mirror in the shop):

With fibrosleeves, seat mod, airbox mod w/ boomerang restrictor plate, Fi2000R, speedo back on, direct mount saddlebags mod, john's kit, chrome radiator cover side strips and with side mounted plate and stripes gone:

Airbox with my combat unit patch:

Black forks all the way! New headlight, new grips, mirrors, debaffle, de pair, no intake, lower 3", custom plate brakcet, led conversion, neons, power commander, butchered seat.
Next: Black drag bars, black controls, black mirrors, and powder coated custom cut pipes. Then new tires, these are so damn ugly!

Xtenzzive (BTW, your name sounds like some kind of erectile performance enhancer that some used-up porn star would sell on TV at 2am), I love how the black paint and small headlight somehow makes the forks look more massive. Good job!

My wife makes some parts of me XTENZZIVE! HA! The massive forks is the part I was trying to accentuate, but after I did it I realized the forks dissappear and stream with the bike. Before when looking at the bike it was like "POW! Right in the kisser--(Peter-FamilyGuy)" because they were aluminum and the only part on the bike that color. It's scary at first with the paint idea, but well well worth it. Headlight only cost 26.99 for a pair , So I keep swapping every time I see a cooler fog light. BTW the 100w xeon bulb in there is brighter and bluer than any other light you can buy. Gotta relocate those cables over the forks too. All we need is a wide tire kit......mmmmm.....

I pulled them off. I didn't like them with the saddlebags. But now that I'm doing the floating rear fender mod, I just might put them back on.

Mad50, is that a C50 fender that you modded? Also, how wide are those bars? I've been thinking about both of those mods.

Looks great! You've got a unique bike.

Great job on the seat mad 50! What is the width of your drag bars? I've got 24.5's coming in this week and was wondering for comparison sake.

thanks for the compliments guys.

xtenzzive, The drag bar is 36" wide. I used to have a 32" drag bar which I peronally think is the best size because it's the same width as stock. 24" seems a bit short but I believe it'll give you a much quicker steering response. Put it on and tell us how it feels!

jim, the fender is a 9" wide Jesse James I bought from ebay. It does require some cutting and drilling to make it fit. Here's the thread I made about the fender modification:

.. I tried a 24" drag bar once and it wouldn't work. It had maybe 1.5" of pullback but that wasn't enough. The right side controls needs about 11" of space (from the bolt that holds the brake line to the end of the grip). The brake line bolt would hit the riser and I'd still have about 2.5" of grip that extended past the end of the drag bar.

So a drag bar, using stock M50 risers, has to be 22" + the outside distance of risers so maybe 29" in length minimum. Unless the drag bar has a lot of pullback then maybe 27.5" will work. But they don't look as cool as the almost broomstick ones do.

My 24" drag bar I got from ebay became a great tool for removing the third plate in the stock exhaust!

Thanks Dj, I figure for 14.00 I would take a guess at it and see what adjustments I needed from there. Guess I should've asked somebody first......%%%% it.

Looking good!
I normally don't like an orange bike - but you made the M50 look sexy in orange.
