Default My First Bike...GS500

I see very little love for the GS500 on this site, so I figured I'd show some. No, it's not the fastest, most comfortable or most advanced bike...but it seems to be the perfect bike for a beginer. Low seat height, upright riding position and controllable power all help to make me feel very comfortable on this bike. I have put 600 miles on it and have enjoyed every single one.

Thanks! I love this site!

Great choice, beautiful bike. Very nice pictures too. No love? The GS500 is probably the most recommended bike on this site. Ride safe.

Well I take back my comment then! I'll be honest, I haven't been around this site for long but I hadn't seen much about the GS.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Nice bike. I'm also in Manhattan, KS. You should go riding with me and one of my friends one of these days. We have crusier bikes, but it's all good. In the spring there is a big bike rally down south towards witichita. Me and several of my friends will be riding to it with everything from jap cruziers, harely's and at least one crotch rocket. Supposed to be nice today so I'm going to go for a ride. Feel a little crappy after last night. Where you down in Aggiville? I was and there was puke every where in the street. Damn ammateurs. lol

In my drunken stupor last night, we didn't start walking to Aggieville until we heard the countdown. I live about 5 blocks away.

By the time we got down there the only people left were the drunk underage-looking kids and the street was a huge mess.

I'd ride with ya sometime...as long as things don't get too crazy, I'm still learning.

Yeah I have some friends who like to make it down to that bike rally. I have a few that even went today. Someday I'll make the trip.

Just got back from a really nice ride today. Don't worry, we don't get crazy at all. Just like to cruise around and take our time. This is the first street bike I've ever rode and I only got it a few months ago so I'm still learning too. I'll shoot you an email one of these days or you can send me one if you are bored and want somebody to ride with. My friend that I usually ride with also lives about 5 blocks away from aggi and we walked down there last night. He lives close to the post office.
