| Clunked into first gear ![]() | Well, I finally found a square trade on my 03 Busa. I located a 2002 Yamaha Warrior in comparable condition and mileage. May trade it off on Monday, then ride the Warrior to the moving Viet Nam memorial that week. I'll be picking up two 750 gix track bikes next spring, so I may be popping around the country with them. Got a couple of peeps to visit (especially in Bama!).

| Clunked into first gear ![]() | Got the Warrior swap worked out this past Tuesday. If you've never ridden one or are considering going from sport to cruiser, this IS the one to have! 1700cc of power with plenty in reserve to be unleashed with minor mods. The suspension is near identical to the suspension package on the R1. It soooo handles like a sportbike in the twisties, even being so long. Found it difficult for a few days to "find" the pegs after riding sport for so long. Took it up to 120mph the other day and it never hesitated, even stayed at 4500rpm out of 7500 available. Just ran out of straight road and the lack of a fairing made it difficult to tolerate the wind at that speed. The Cobra pipes on it just ROAR and CACKLE like mad. Funky sounding when letting the bike slow naturally w/o brakes, but still sounds tough. Project plans: I know, like I need something else to dump $$ into after parting with the Busa. Swingarm flip and grind to lower. Stretched bars by Barons may black powder coat (+2 to 3 inches toward the rider). 240 or 250 tire kit. Chrome goodies (maybe). VBAK filter upgrades. PCIII upgrade. 108 or 110 ci upgrade. Forced air butterfly induction assy for feeding VBAK. Angled floor boards w/ heel/toe shifter assy. Throttle Boss. Mini fairing. Lower fairing V-tip. Integrated LED tail light/signal assy. Raked frame (later down the road maybe). Corbin seat w/flip down passenger backrest. Belt to chain upgrade (only if belts cont. break on 240 kit). Custom mirrors. Black powder coated Wave levers. AIS block off kit. 2 into 1 Vance and Hines Pro series exhaust. LED gas cap fuel gauge.
