Default GZ250 Specs

Due to HIGH gas prices and a '89 F150 I went and got a 2005 GZ250 to ride to work. Its going to hit 600mi this weekend and the dealer wants $100 to do its 1st check up. I don't have that kind of spare cash right now, I have oil&filter but need to know about the valve adjustment. Has anybody done theirs, can you give me details of how to check them. I have adjusted valves on car engines before with no problems.

Then you can do this. I'd get a manual, but someone may be able to talk you through it.
