Thumbs down in trouble

i have 2005 gsxr600 i layed it down about 2 months ago . all the damage was cosmetic . ifinally got all the parts on and starter her up.warmed up to about 180 and did a burnout! after5 that the oil glass was full of smoke . now the bike starts but when i put in gear nothing happens.does anybody know whats wrong?

smell your oil
if it smells like bbq then you smoked your clutch

bbq was the smell that i smell ed .smoked the clutch what does it mean and how much does it cost ? is it a total loss or can some partys be replaced. any how thanks for the info .

you need to replace the clutch plates and pressure plates
alot of people do it them selfs

what you will need for parts
clutch plates
pressure plates
cover gasket
oil
oil filter
you can call your local dealer for the prices
it may be around $150.00

Don't be surprised that its NOT covered under warranty... they will know what happened.

dont take this personal but..................... but that was a stupid thing to do.......... every bike I've ever owned would do a burn out I'm sure, but have yet to ever do one. how long have you been rideing? Please dont answer that.............
