hi all, been driving most of the day today, was a nice cold day (below 20degrees celcius) and no problems, got about 7pm, still cold, like 14-15deg. and was running on 75degrees when i filled up with petrol, got home (3-5mins away) and in the driveway it read 102degrees!!!. its never been that high, and i wasnt stuck in traffic or anything, the highest my bike temp has been is like 85deg. how and why would it jump nearly 20deg in under 5mins? what could have happened? where does it read the temperature from? could it be from the aftermarket headlight globes i put in (were rated as 55/60watt) yes started to melt the 3 prong connecters and smoke, so took them straight out!....may have those caused the temp increase on the LCD display? its a 2003 gsxr 600. any help would be much appreciated, as im scared to ride it now, if somethings wrong and i cook it. |
